Wenzel Distillery is a craft distillery and boutique blending experience located in Covington, Kentucky. Founded in 2022, the Blending Hall occupies a historic 1873 building that once served as a rectifier—a non-distilling producer of whiskey—before Prohibition. This rich legacy inspired Wenzel's mission to revive the art of blending and offer visitors a hands-on experience in crafting their own unique whiskey blends.
Wenzel Distillery’s signature offering is its blending experience, where guests can sample a curated selection of bourbons sourced from various distilleries across the United States. Guided by knowledgeable staff, participants can create personalized blends, taking home a bottle that reflects their individual taste preferences. This interactive approach has garnered attention and praise from whiskey enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.
In addition to its blending experiences, Wenzel produces its own line of spirits. Notably, the distillery's Sherry-finished Bourbon won both "Best Kentucky Finished Bourbon" and "World’s Best Finished Bourbon" at the 2025 World Whiskies Awards, highlighting its commitment to quality and innovation. The distillery is also a proud member of the Kentucky Distillers' Association and has been added to both the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® and The B-Line®, Northern Kentucky’s self-guided bourbon experience.

BLENDING EXPERIENCE
Wenzel Distillery offers a one-of-a-kind Blending Experience where tradition meets distinction. Visitors are invited to step into Wenzel Hall, a building that served as a rectifier (non-producing distiller), where they can sample a selection of carefully selected and various aged bourbon whiskeys, each with its own distinct character. With guidance from our skilled blenders, you’ll have the opportunity to experience and experiment, combining different flavors and aromas to craft your own signature blend. Whether you prefer a smooth finish or a spicier kick, the Blending Experience allows you to tailor every aspect of your whiskey, creating a personalized bottle that reflects your unique taste. It’s a hands-on journey into the art of whiskey blending, offering an unforgettable connection to the craft and heritage of Wenzel.
